Change is hard........and a little sad....

...So, one more day at my current job.

I'll certainly miss most of it. There are always things you'd like to see change..but 96% of me is happy there.

It's the remaining 7% I worry about. (I told you I don't "do" math...)
I went from being a little fish in a huge ocean, sometimes happy, sometimes worried, sometimes very sad...

to where I am now...a big fish in a little pond.
..and now I will be going back to that big scary ocean, just when my pond felt comfortable with all my pond-buddies... But even in the small pond, when you're a big fish, things aren't always good. The "fit" is not right..you need more....room to grow.... More than what the small pond can offer.

And being a little fish is a big ocean is frightening too. Are you just a number?

Fish #14??

And those sharks...watch out! You'll have to learn to navigate the waters all over again. The ocean is waaaaay bigger than a pond. And waaaay scarier.

So, I'll say farewell to my pond-buds tomorrow. And I'll promise to stop by...maybe "do lunch"..but it will be different. I'll be a visitor to the pond. No longer the big, friendly, welcoming fish.

Life changes. Tides change. The waters get murky. One needs to think about what's best for all.

And I've thought about this a lot. It's time this big fish to loose some of that "weight" and learn to swim in that big, wide, wonderful ocean.

Think of all the great discoveries!

Wish me luck.

Good luck! I know the feeling. It's hard to change your comfort zone. When I quit my job after 7 years I cried like a baby. Have a great last day and take away good memories!!!
