Yes, I am getting mixed signals....

So, I'm in my art room..um...and yes..the name is one of those mixed signals I mentioned.

'Art room' would usually mean  a room where one creates art..yes?

Well, not so much in this art room..I create ..messes.

Yep, that's it. Self-creating-messes-room. That's the better name for this room...

Now, about those mixed signals...

And yes, the time has changed.  For most of the states.  For most of the confusing states.  Why can't we be like Arizona and pick a time ans stick with it?  Easy-peasy...

I always get confused because I have family in Arizona {Hi family in Arizona!!} and when I call them, I have to wonder.."if it's daylight savings here, are we now the same time or is it now an hour difference? And is that hour different forward or backwards? So, if it's 6 am here, is it 5 am there? Or 7 am? Or are we the same time now, 6am?

So I look at my trusty desk clock that sits next to my computer {you might be asking why does she have a clock right next to her computer when her computer has a built in clock? ..or you might not..}

I've just always had a thing for clocks..
Anyway..I came in here "early" {because the body-brain clock is from Arizona..} to straighten up {read: bulldoze} my mess.

I looked around an started complaining {in my head...don't want to wake up Mr. B..whose clock always adjusts quickly..}

..and saw this "sign"..
OK.  I can take a hint..get to work..

eie..yie..yie..{so, how do you spell "Eye-yie-yie?"}.

Then I see another sign..

Oh yeah..I have to do that today too...but that's not the sign I was talking about..

I have to have a "dream"..about working in a clean room..and for that "dream" , I have to "imagine" what it would be like..

..and I have to 'believe in miracles" so I can "create", right?

..but then again...can I really be "expected to be neat", too??

Seems my mess is usually on the floor..the uppers look good...

Is it that darned floor space that looks so big and empty..that I feel I must fill it?

Guess it's all part of the "streams of life"..

Hmmm...life IS beautiful in it's chaos simplicity..

Hoping you have a beautiful, chaotic, simply wonderful Sunday..as for me..I'm gunna...

Someone once said..."you have to have a mess behind you to prove to people that you have been creating something". Yes . . I like that.

And a happy Sunday to you too Mrs. B! I had the same epiphany yesterday as I was trying to figure out what to wear...finally said, "Quit your bellyaching!" and then began uttering positive thoughts... #1 - You've taken a step in the right direction, take another.
#2 - Keep plugging along, you'll be in a better place soon if you do.
#3 - Only you (I) can do it so 'Nike' aka Just Do It!
Enjoy your day... I have already been for a brisk walk in the 40 degree weather and feel better for it!

I totally agree! For a few years I was living in California, my sister lived in Phoenix, my mom lived in Chicago, and my daughter lived in Ithaca, NY. I NEVER knew what time it was anywhere!!!

Creative minds are rarely tidy! That's my motto and I'm stickin' to it! I couldn't even take a picture of my mess as the city would be out to condemn! :-) Hang in there!!! We're twin sisters of different mothers!

My whole house is an ay-yie-yie! Drawers and cupboards are just filled to the brim with mess. At least you have a room to contain it all in. I can't even find what I want in order to be able to create a crafty mess, so I just stick with crocheting. At least I can find the yarn. :) Have a great week. Tammy

Art is creativity and you have creatively done your room, lol!

Oh, and when I lived in AZ I tried to remember the differences by thinking when we "fall back" AZ is in MST and when we "spring ahead" AZ is in PST. After all, no one would want to fall back off the Rockies and many people in Cali do have a spring in their step, LOL! I had that same issue in remembering. Family in MI and Las Vegas and FL. Friends in NV, CO, CA, and England. But I wholeheartedly agree with you that we need to be like AZ and stick to the same time year round. Did you know that only the Nava-Hopi Res and Yuma follow DST? The rest of AZ does not. I miss that state!!!

"A tidy house is the sign of a boring housewife" I heard somewhere. I like my house to be tidy but I have pockets of mess, like my desk and under the house and BB's office.
We are like Arizona and keep the same time all year while the southern states have daylight saving. I hate it when yu have to make a business call and then realise they've all gone home.

Your art room would drive me crazy but... we each create in our own special way and your way obviously works for you.

I agree about the time thing, although I like this time better than the other time ( although I don't know which is the Right time.)but I do wish it didn't get so dark so early! and my craft room? boy it really needs help...maybe with it getting darking earlier I'll spend some time cleaning it up!

Clutter makes me feel safe, but clean clutter is a thing of beauty...

Not that I have attained that level of happiness yet.

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
