You know I love little fuzzy animals....

..but when I start thinking my (Irish) Native American name should be "Dances With Dust"..well things have gone a little to far..

So, remember the other day speaking about all those little things in life?

Well, yeaaah..sometimes it a stretch..a S------t-----r----e----t----c----h..

Last night, while trying to get a "fix" on our wire-less {why is it something you can't see can need fixing? And how do you know where it is to fix it if you can't see it?? Just wave your arms around in the air all wildly and say Abra ca dabra?? } ..

..I needed to get on the floor to get the serial number off of the router (?).. sounds like something you'd use in the garden..but what do I know..

That's when they attacked...the Dust Bunnies..

Um..then I tried to put a positive spin on it...if I wasn't crawling around under my desk, I
wouldn't have seen them..at least for a while...and I wouldn't have found the little box of decorative pins that was hiding by the router...whatever that is..

So after a particularity normal sort of OK day, dangerously close to being described as a blah day, I thought I needed the push of finding some of those "little" things..

{I will write tomorrow about 2 ginormously GREAT things that happened, thanks to Mother-in-Law and Melinda of http://melindasfabricfancies.blogspot.com ...)

..anyway..

#1. Found my perfect temperature..well, not mine....that would be 98.3 or something..no I mean outside...

51 degrees with sunshine

There you have it..it was beautiful..
perfect... fall weather..

#2. Discovered the extreme excitement of finding lost things I didn't know I'd lost..

#3. And while on the floor, I discovered I was sitting Indian-style with my legs crossed the way I couldn't have 51 pounds ago..oh happy day!

#4. In keeping with the whole "Native American/Indian" theme..I named myself..Dancing with
Dust
..which is another one of my favorites..likes Stands With Camera..

OK, so you can see..a stretch, but stretching is good for you..

So go out there and stretch today..you'll love the feeling :-)

Littles...

Don't know what it is about little things.

I love them.

Little dogs...little cats....
..Little turtles...(?)
YES..they're cute too..

Anything in a little size has the cuteness factor of 14......on a scale of 1 to 14..

Think about it..doll houses with little furniture...

Tea sets with little cups...

Little travel trailers..

Little houses..

Little hamburgers...
OhOh! Does anyone remember "Chicken Littles" from KFC?? They were like a quarter and sooo good!

And yes, I know it's a big big world..but we in blog land have made it a little smaller, right?

I mean, I never would have imagined I'd have friends in Australia..or England...or Ireland...or Germany...

But I do.

And there are several states that I've never see "in person" but with all of you sharing your photos of where you live, I feel like I've seen the best :-)

And, no, I'm not going to break into song with "It's a Small World After All"..

But I could. Seriously. And it would be relevant. Wouldn't be good..but relevant.

So, just hold on to your little dreams, enjoy every aspect of your little life and hug all you little blessings and send up a little 'thank you' to the great big universe...and of course, the One who has given us so much, and asks for ....

...so little.

A little kissy for you...

Why it is when I think I'm speaking c.l.e.a.r.l.y....

...people don't understand what I am saying?

Disclaimer: If you are a hair dresser, you may wish to stop reading..I'm just sayin'

Not that there's anything wrong with hairdressers...as a matter of fact..I used to think of them like I was taught with all Doctors and Policemen..you don't question what they are saying..or doing...

But I learned to speak up for myself and to say what I want..right after the Doc told me he didn't think it was cancer - and to "wait and see.." What kind of advice is that?

I didn't. And it was.

Bygones..hey, just like my boobs :-)

So I did. You know.. told the hairdresser what I wanted?

And he didn't hear me.

What I said: I need it just cleaned up a little..and see this hair that sticks out when I put on my glasses? Can you take care of that? Maybe I need to go a little shorter there...

Apparently what he heard: I need a hair cut all over. See this hair that sticks out when I put on my glasses? Maybe you can shave it off ..oh and I'd like to look like Mark Harmon did in the first season of NCIS..you know..where his hair looked so silly..like it was a reverse mullet? The ANTI-Mullet?
Longer on the top, like a bowl was put on his head by his mama??

Yeah, that's it..longer on the top and SHAVED sides... Oh, oh ,oh can you make one side closer to my head that the other? Great.

( at first I thought maybe my head was..um..lop-sided..so I measured from the center of the top of my ear to where the ear connects to your (my) head..
Nope.

.. they are exactly 7 inches from center....so one ear is not lower and the other one is not higher on my head. I have perfect ear placement..Thankyouverymuch}

Yeah..it's that bad.

When I went in, I looked sort of OK - and can't one see that that's what I normally look like??

Why would someone think I wanted no hair on the sides of my head?

And he was talking and cutting and thinning (my already too thin hair) and when he was finished, I looked like Mark Harmon ..only not nearly as handsome..

Now I can put Gel in it and have a Mohawk..and not look as cute as Cher- The Texas Woman did with her chemo-cut..

Oh well...it'll grow..

Hey, anyone know of a good hairdresser with 20-20 hearing??

This just in! I'm creating a new catagory..

..and it's....dddddddrrrrrrrdddddamamam {drum roll, in case you were wondering..} ddddrjrrrrrr...

Misc-ca-lane-eous Monday

!!!

What? You're underwhelmed? OK. ..well, it's all I got..

You see, by the time my Monday post comes along..which is posted on Tuesday, but I'm actually creating on Monday, I'm already looking forward to Friday and what I get to do on Saturday..and bummed about Sunday being one day closer to Monday..

Well, you must see how utterly exhausting this is, right??

So I'll let my brain get some much needed rest and post a motley assortment {I love the word "motley" and really, I was never much of a Motley Crew fan...except when describing my kids..}

..not that my kids were Motley Crew fans...well..maybe Brandi..but they altogether were a motley crew..not that they were 'all together'..no one in my family has eVEr been accused of being 'all together'..

..oh yea..I was saying..I'm going to post a motley assortment of photos , well, because that's all I gots

OK, first, not so much motley as adorable...Miss Ella in her Snow White costume...

I had no idea Snow White could fly...maybe it's the close proximity to Tinkerbell?

OK, so you know how kids get into your Halloween costume? And stuff you'd like to save for next year?

Yeah..like this...!!

Hey..that's MY mustache

..and another of his gang caught red-handed..uh..I mean..blue mustached..

What are these kids coming to??

Oh, OK, I didn't estate sale this past week-end but I did do a little thrifting...

He's a music box..and it plays the cutest melody..

I know it's early, but at $1.00, I couldn't pass them up..

The reindeer is holding a holder for the chalk :-)

So...how many days??

Very blurry photo, but I got the blue bottle (I think it's an old Milk of Magnesia bottle) a while back, but I found this great thingy to go on the top..makes it all fancy-schamncy..can't wait till I find the best thing to alter it :-)
This wall quilt it about 24" by 36" and is in pErFEcT condition.

And I love it...$1.00...yeah..I'm that good ...

..and my favorite find...I love this teensy-tiny-worlds-smallest-Nativity-scene! Look at the quote..."Love was Born"...Awwww..the whole thing is about 3" high..

OK..from the beautiful to the...beautiful-rusted-thingies! Our neighbors were tossing out an old trunk that couldn't be salvaged (believe me - I tried to think of a way..ick) but I asked if I could "harvest" the hinges and he said yes..

Actually, he said "I think I have some newer ones - these are all...uh... rusty.."

Poor guy - he must think I'm a bit daft..{looking at the picture..they really do look..uh..like a passel of poop..}

Well, that's it for Monday, which you'll read on Tuesday..or maybe even Wednesday if you're slow...
I'm just sayin'....

It was a night of beauty and gyspies and candy..

Last evening was beautiful..warm even, by Utah fall standards anyway.

The kind of Saturday when you know why you love fall..

Crunchy leaves..

Bright colors...

Candy..

um....I mean..all the cute Trick-or-Treaters..

..and candy...

And being a long-distance Grammie on Halloween is particularly hard..

I would like to take the Grands out Trick-or-Treating before they think they're too old to go..or have a party to attend..

However, thanks to digital cameras and the InterWeb...I can see the fun almost as it happens:

There is something in October
Sets the gypsy blood astir
We must rise and follow her
When from every hill of flame
She calls and calls
each vagabond by name

~William Bliss Carman

And so it is to pass, that the food that follows candy (which, arguably is not food, per se) shall be of the fun yet creepy variety..

Rolled out by loving gypsy just-washed-and-hand-sanitized-hands...

Carefully shaped into....

Cute little "mummy-dogs"..
{no dogs were harmed in the making of these Mummies..}

Baked until Golden and oh-so-warm-and-flaky..Mmmm...

Must be eaten by 2's...

Look at that proud baker!

Miss you Miss Em...now, don't eat too much candy...after all I may visit and want some :-)

Sounds & Love

We have a "deal" Randy & I. He loves to cook, I don't. I love to have a clean, pretty kitchen. He just needs it to be usef...
