OK, so here's the scoop...the skinny..the "in the news"...the what you need to know..

I know you ave all been so supportive of my cloth book {thankyouverymuch}, my wall hangings and other fabric-inspired crafting I've been doing..

And, I think you may think I am the wonder-crafty-talented-lovely-artistic-seamstress-designer..but..uh..I am not.

Well, some of those things I am..or aspire to be.

But what started this trek of mine was a visit to KC Willis' website,  after I had seen what Laurie had created after taking one of her classes...

..and absolutely loving what I saw there....http://www.lipstickranch.com/

KC holds regularly scheduled classes in her darling studio in Colorado and is taking her "show on the road" as well so those who live away from beautiful Colorado can enjoy her classes as well.  Go to http://www.studioretreats.ning.com/
and read all about it..

Then I  realized I could take one of her classes ...while never leaving my home!

My art/life/creating/dreams have not been the same since.

She is now offering a brand new option to receive not only all of her classes on DVD, but enclosed in one wonderful place with a signed piece of her amazing, world renowned artwork...

Can we get a "yipee ey ay"??

 I  took her on-line class then got the DVD as well..http://www.collagecamp.ning.com/

She had offered "KC in a Box" (first photo above) and it's limited engagement..well..time is running out for the box..

Hurry and it will be yours with bits-n-bobs right from her own stash of supplies!

And now, you have another great option  - this adorable bag..with even more DVD's!

Go look..you'll LOVE what you see!!

If "cute" is good for you..then "stinkin' cute" must be the best-eveah......

When I can across these 3, I immediately thought of me & my sisters..

Do ya see it??

Yeah..huh..?
And here's some info I found at:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2008/10/cute-is-good-fo.html

"You may scoff at photos or videos of terribly cute animals... but it turns out that sort of viewing is good for you. The Seattle Post-Intelligence has the details:

 Take 10 minutes of Animal Planet and call us in the morning. Or dose up on those videos of hilariously clumsy cats or dogs skidding on ice. Not mean ones, just funny or beautiful ones. Watching films of animal life may help you beat stress, which makes you feel great while it drops your risk of scores of health problems.

When people watched 10 minutes of animal footage, their heart rate and blood pressure dipped not only while they were under stress, but it stayed lower even afterward. It didn't matter whether the animal was scaly, feathered or furry.

Even better, the sound doesn't have to be on to reap the calming benefits, so you can sneak a peek at the latest panda/polar bear/Labrador retriever clips before your next tension-filled meeting, and your office mates will never know."

Huh..

So, hug your stress-relieving-blood-pressure-dropping-scaly-feathered-furry friend and have a great tomorrow...

Wish I could have....

.a slip sewed into all my skirts..that way, all I'd have to do is pull-up my skirt and not worry about....

.. where's my slip?
..do I have a clean slip?
..where's the tag on my slip & should it line up with the tag on my skirt??

{yeah..I wish..}

..and a purse-thingy that I could remove the innards and change purses as easily as changing shoes..slip one thingy out and slip it into my new, better, prettier {other} purse (s)..

..and mechanical pencil that the lead doesn't break..

..and another word for lead (the pencil stuff)  and lead..what leaders do..

note: the following was gleaned from an on-line-Googly-dictionary-site..forgot to note which one..}

Lead vs. Led Entry #307719

The past tense of the verb lead—pronounced LEED—is led, which is the conjugation used for all subjects. Instead, people commonly write its homophone, lead, which refers to the element on the periodic table. There is a triangular relationship between these three words: Lead and lead are homonyms, led is a conjugation of lead, and led is a homophone of lead, the metal. Confused yet? Well, confusion is what the following examples will hopefully eliminate.

Examples:

He leads the league in scoring. {and just what league is he leading in??}

At sites known as buffalo jumps, Native Americans once led herds of bison over cliffs, sending them plunging to their deaths. {now there's an image I will have in my head..how RUDE..}

Children can obtain lead poisoning from eating paint chips. {give them tortilla chips instead..seems simple enough.?.}

Stop leading me on...{or stop penciling on me, which would be "leading on me"}

Robert E. Lee led the Confederate forces at Gettysburg, the largest battle of the American Civil War. {wow..a history lesson as well..bonus! could've just said I led the Bunny Hop yesterday at work.}

It was Colonel Mustard with the lead pipe in the conservatory! {or was it Dr. Finch int eh kitchen with a spatula?} {.. who has a 'conservatory' ??  ..and what are you conserving anyway??}

..and a self-cleaning bathroom

..oh and eyeglass skins..you know..like the "skins" that cover cell phones and iPods? Where you can change the color or add a design, to your existing device?  You'd have different glasses every day (at lest frame-color-wise..)

..and a warning bell on the last toilet paper roll..

Is that asking too much?

"Honey..we're out of Zim Dollars..can you bring me some??"
{added: I have no idea what Zim Dollars are...anyone? }
I think not.

Oh, how about spell check that just fixed the word?  Not have you guess at what you were triyung to say..and highlight it is screaming-yellow-zonkers-yellow {as if I feel badly enough about not being able to type..OR spell??}

-me, tired, and Monday and wanting a waffle..

Did the laundry on Saturday, soooo..Sunday was for...

Crafting..oh yeah..

Didja ever have a "wish book" when you were a kid?  How about a scrap book ..that was a "scrap" scrapbook...v/s a photo-scrapbooking scrapbook?

Me too!

But I haven't really had one for a while..and I thought.."well, I colored in all my new coloring books...I had my play-date with my Zumba classmates..made my bed...why not?!

So I found a book I had actually made ...uh huh..I MADE this book...

..out of..book-stuff....cardboard..cover paper..ribbon and pages..and then I bound it myself....ohyesIdid..

Well, there you have it..it was an empty book..

what's sadder than an empty book, I ask you??

OK, maybe having brownies just baked and having already eaten your Weight Watcher's points for the  week  day??

..or..having a great hair day and not seeing aNyOne at all...

Oh yeah..

So, here's what I did..read, mark, cut, glue...enjoyed...now I have a wish book..and inspiration book..a.there's-nothing-to-do-and-nothing-on-TV-and-nothing-to read-and-and-no-new-magazines-to-read-book..

Hope you like it..

Now, go find those scissors, get out the glue stick..dig out your old Country Living magazines..old calendars from years past..and make yourself a book and find yourself the owner of a "first edition, best seller ..one-of-a-kind grown-up wish book...

Optimum-Room-Tempreature-Control-and-Comfort-Level-Maintenance is...

..not for the faint at heart..

That's why the aMAzIng Mr. B has in under control..

Or so he thinks..

It's a very very complicated process..and something he has tried to e'splain to me numerous times.

OK.,,

Step 1:

Check the inside temperature..

Step 2:

Go to the outside thermometer and check that one..

Step 3:

Re-check the inside temperature..

Step 4:

Measure the width of Lulu..

Step 5:

Open front window 1.5 inches less than the width of Lulu..

Step 6:

Put humongous fan in back room window..blowing out {yeah- we're cooling the universe..}

Step 7:

Open bedroom window at the head of Mr. B..

DO NOT OPEN SIDE WINDOW!
{this would interfere with the air flow over Mr. B..}

Step 8: {to be done before 6am in the morning}:

Repeat all steps and reverse..when previously opening..now close..

Check inside temperature..and re-set it to...."Popsicle"..

Find blankets for wife..

Geesh... I kinda like to "set" the thermometer..and

leave it..

But hey, that's just me.

Hope you have a wonderful, cool, perfect temperature-ed Sunday..

Now, let's just hope Lulu doesn't loose weight..

Didja ever...??

..have a dream and when you woke up & realized it was a dream..found yourself ...disappointed??

No, not THAT kind of dream..no, nonononono..
Like last night, or was it this morning??..

I dreamed that I was at an estate sale..a really, really cool estate sale.

You know, one where the house is soo great..not like a huge McMansion..more like a sweet {but roomy} home..

{image found on gordonites.blogspot.com/...beautiful, huh?!}

One where you can see yourself living?  With windows in the kitchen?   Yeah..

Anyway, there were some great things..and I, as usual, went into the basement and the garage {I have found some of the funnest things in the furthest places..out of sight of the expensive china and fru fru that some people will pay too much money for?}

So there was this old dresser drawer..pink and scalloped..really cute..with these dividers that I could see holding pretty bits & bobs for my cloth books and projects..and a doll.

A' Stief' 'doll..don't they just make teddy bears in real life?? Anyway..the person I was shopping with {hi Sacha!} was looking at it too.  It was $10 and I found myself telling her how it would look cute in her house..

..then changing my mind and being tOTalY disappointed that she actually was going to purchase it!  Soooo disappointed.. :-(
Anyway, if I see a pink-scalloped-single-drawer-with-compartments...it's MINE...

..I'm just sayin'...
