Hi...

Well, it's back to work tomorrow - then the week-end will be upon us.
The trip was what it was..

We walked...

..and Owen was on his leash..and I cast a very l.o.n.g shadow...

We drank lots and lots and lots of coffee..

We found photographic evidence proof of real angles..ok..sort of squished..or pressed, yeah, like flowers in a book...

But proof none the less...

And hearts..many of which are broken now, but will heal..and be strong..like this rock heart we found..

Molly met a few dogs along the way who seemed to be giving their condolences as well..

{Miss Molly}

My sister started her radiation on January 4th and my brother left us on the 5th..she had had a little over a week of radiation for her cancer and she somehow got pneumonia while Kathy and I were there..she still has 7 more weeks to go...

She's feeling pretty rough and we'll have to see what this will do to her treatments..meanwhile Kathy stayed to help feed the horses and  to drive her the 80 mile round trip to her treatments. {which last all of 10 minutes}

Country living does have it's drawbacks..

..but the views...ah yes..the views...

And now we'll start a new chapter in our lives..the three of us without our brother. And we will laugh..and know he's looking out for us ..and smile when he sees me slipping just a little Bailey's Irish Cream in my tea..(oh, you gotta try this!)

A sign that I bought before Christmas was just delivered for the kitchen ..it reads...

"It's good to be home"

Yes, it is..and I really missed you all...
Thank you all for your love and support.

An Update.........

Hello Everyone,

This is Brandi, Colleen's youngest daughter. As she is sitting in the Denver airport, waiting for her connecting flight to Arizona, she called and asked me to post here. She is going to Arizona this weekend to spend some time with her sisters, my aunts. There isn't going to be a memorial service at this time. If it does happen, it will happen in the Spring. My Uncle Larry's obituary was posted yesterday, and there is a guestbook where anyone can sign as well.

Lawrence Sullivan

I just want to personally thank you all for your love and support at this time right now. I know how much you all mean to my mom! Our hearts are permanently broken, and we can all use all the prayers you can spare. Thank you and God Bless you all!!

He's on his way... home...

..the horses are fed, the fence is finished, the gate is closed....he told us how much he loved us.

And we are left with the most precious memories...and the deepest ache imaginable.

He is at rest and now it's up to us to honor him by striving to be the kind of person he would like to have known..

He taught us well...

His humor was contagious and genuine..

His laughter rang in our ears and now in our hearts.

He could tell a story that would make an Irish Mother cry with laughter..

His love & respect for life and for all people is only surpased by the love and respect for his 3 amazing children, and the beautiful grandchildren who got to know their Grandpa...

He was and always will be our big brother..and we will always be known simply as..

"Larry's sisters"

Larry, when you see Mother and Daddy, tell them we are fine and we'll see them one day.  And that we love them.........

Then the party will begin...

I love you Larry and will miss you forever.

“We only part to meet again

Tho mighty boundless waves may sever

Remembrance oft shall bring thee near

And I will with thee go forever

And oft a midnight’s silent hour

When brilliant planets shall guide the ocean

Thy name shall rise to heaven’s highest star

And mingle with my soul’s devotion.”

-Edgar Allen Poe

{sent to our family today by my sister-in-law, Jerri }
I'll be away for a while..I love you all...

Things I think I should know, but really don't want to know..

..but really should know..you know??

OK, so the window washer thingy in my car was all frozy and weird this past week, and that can be quite hazardous for winter driving.. so I asked Mr. B to please re-fill it..

I know, and yes, I do know how, but there are just some things I choose not to do..and filling the window washer thingy happens to be one..kinda like cooking..or lawn maintenance..

So I pulled the latch-thingy inside the car (so proud I knew which one to pull..one time at a car place I thought I was pulling the right one and opened the trunk..) and then went to try to lift the lid..no luck.

Seems you have to know the 'secret handshake' or something because Mr. B can just sort of reach around and viola! It's opened..kinda like un-hooking a bra with one fell swoop...

But I told him I "need to learn how" and after a while, I got it opened. (the car lid, not the bra thingy)

And looking in I saw 2 jug-like things (hey..do I see a pattern here??) that had some sort of colored stuff in them..I asked if it was the blue-ish one or the orangie one I needed..

"No..window washer fluid..the other is coolant"

"Oh, so what's coolant?"

"It keeps your car cool"

"..cool..but it looks like I need some of that as well..see? It has 'F' and 'L' and right now it's under 'L'..so we need to fill it to the 'F', right??"

"no.."

"sooo..if 'F' is for 'full'...then 'L' is for 'low' right? But it probably should say 'E' for 'empty', which is the opposite of 'full'..or if they want to use 'L'  for 'low' then maybe they should use 'H' for 'high', right? You know, the opposite of 'high'?? "

"It doesn't need any more in it. When it gets hot, it expands and becomes full. do.not.add.anything."

( I need to insert here that I like instructions...simple instructions..)

"hmmm..then it should say 'FE' for 'Full Enough' and 'AL' for 'Almost Low' and then 'AM' for 'Add More'..then..'ASN!' for 'Add Some Now!'..

"I'm done. Close the hood..please.."

"Geesh..what a grump.."

See? There are just some thing I really don't need to know..

It's a sign of the times..

...do you remember that song by Petulia Clark? Huh..you're as old as me..

Anyway, I did go and get my hair cut..not certain it looks very much different than it used to, but at least I'm not going for the Jethro ..uh..what's his last name on NCIS? You know, Mark Harmon?

There's Denozo and Davide, Ducky and Abbey and Probee..did you know that on any given day and any given hour you can find at least one episode of NCIS on TV? Talk about racking up the residuals..

OK, on subject..I guess not looking as if you've just had your hair cut trimmed is a good thing..but somehow when you spend money, you want to look different than when you went in..

then there's some funny signs I ran across..

shudda had this one the other day..

then there's always..

yeah..my kind of 'sales'..to buy some of these..

ah...was the word you were thinking 'banana' by any chance? Actually, I think I like that name better..right after I eat my pear-shaped green fruit..DOH! I gave it away...

So, now that 2010 is here..maybe we'll see less and less of this..

and more of this..

now, go out there and notice something..

"Twas the day afer New Year's..

...and all through the house..

We're starting to play with the Toys of Christmas..you know..the Origami pack..the new books..the...Garmin..

Yeeeah..have you programmed one? Mr. B was setting it up and said it would take about 2 hours to upload the updated maps..

So two four hours later..it still hadn't updated..

Mr. B went to bed..

I tried. I couldn't. It was still hooked up to my laptop..and I hadn't blogged yet.

Five hours..checking..I'm checking..I'm patiently waiting...and waiting..becoming less patient.

Now remember, I'm not a techie. What's the opposite of techie?

an Un-techie.

That's sort of an understatement. I had to write out the directions to be able to use the DVD player..and there's always the black tape over the flashing 12:00 on the old video player.

But even with my stupidity technology-challenged knowledge, I figured something was not right.

Upon bleary-eyed closer inspection, I was lucky enough confidently found the re-start feature and realized we needed to have clicked on an additional link..

So I did and finally, it was on it's way...and about 7:30 this morning (a full 10 1/2 hours later) the "2 hours" of uploading began.

Oh, let the fun begin..

It's working..and Mr. B, who's now fully rested and refreshed...&*^#*&! says me..wants to "try it out..wanna come??"

"No. Noooo. I want to sleep."

He programmed in ..."Wal-Mart"..{ the one he goes to at least 2 times a week } and whadda know..it guides him safely..and without getting lost.

If he wanted someone with a girly voice to tell him where to go this morning, I could have..

After all, I've read the manual...

..and got my license..

So when we go out later, he had not one, but 2 women telling him directions..and they we don't always agree.

Now he has 2 women telling him where to go and I find I am arguing with ..her..

Oh well...

maybe I'll get some sleep tonight..

..hopefully, Ms. Garmin will too...

Sounds & Love

We have a "deal" Randy & I. He loves to cook, I don't. I love to have a clean, pretty kitchen. He just needs it to be usef...
