Sorry guys..I've broken my body..

yeppers...I fell on the steps and broke my rib..and boyhowdy..it hurts!

When I fell, somehow I fell on my side and the step went into my ribs..my knee wrenched and it was a slow-moving Thanks-mas..

I will catch up with you all as I can.  I've missed you!  So, in the meantime..here's a glimpse of our celebration..and we were all very thankful..for safe travelers..for good health..for only 1 rib {!}  and for all of you..

Hope you're all well and that you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

In these photos: daughter April, her husband, Chris, daughter Emily and son, Brian...me and my sister Gerri..and..

..me & Mr. B...

Sweet dreams and I'll be by to visit each of you soon :-)

Oh no! I am so sorry that you've fallen and broken your rib. Ackkkkk. That must have complicated Thanksgiving. Do they wrap it? Give you good meds? Something?

On a cheerier note, that color is YOUR color. You look amazing wearing that color. I hesitate because I don't know if you'd call it teal or aqua or whatever. It's wonderful on you. Sort of makes Mr. B. look better, too, though I'm thinking it may just be you on his arm. Lovely photo!

Oh no!!!
I am so sorry. Ribs are miserable things to heal.
They take their owm sweet time.
Looks like Mr B will be doing the dishes and decorating.

Take care of you!

My sympathies on your injuries. I know how painful breaks, bruises, and bumps from falls can be. Almost everytime in my life that I have fallen, I have broken some bone or other. Luckily, I seem to heal quickly up to now, but I'd rather not break anymore. I try very hard not to fall down.

I hope your "boo-boos" get better very soon! Be careful.

Ouch! I bet that hurts when you laugh and I can't imagine you not laughing. It looks like you managed some fun on Thanksgiving Day. Our kids in LA had a hilarious time on their very first ever Thanksgiving Day.(Hang onto your sore rib while you read this). Bernie is the cook but he had never cooked a turkey before. His first mistake was he didn't realise how long it took to defrost. Then it was too big for any of their roasting pans so he just put it on the shelf in the oven. Soon the kitchen was full of smoke. The fire alarm went off, the baby started screaming, Sonya started screaming at Bernie to take it out. The downstairs neighbour asked Sonya if she wanted to go for a coffee to calm her down. Bernie went off to buy a bigger roasting tin, partially cleaned the oven and started again. They were supposed to be taking it to a friends house for a midday meal. Then they didn't know how long it had to cook. When he read the label was shocked to find it took 6 hours. As the day wore on to late afternoon they took out turkey and went to friend's house where they put it in the oven for another hour. Finally they had their meal in the evening. Surprisingly everyone enjoyed the turkey which was cooked to perfection. Believe it or not. They hope to do better next year,

The first time I read it I thought you'd broken a hip. So I was relieved to re-read and see it was a rib instead. Still bad but not as bad as a hip, I presume. Rick has had rib injuries a couple of times and he has complained a lot. I guess we don't realize how often we breathe, sneeze, cough, laugh, etc. I'd hug you but it'd probably hurt you. Here is a gentle pat on the shoulder.

Ow Colleen, sounds like a good excuse though to just take it easy, sit back and Pinterest! I agree, that color looks amazing on you. You are so beautiful!!
I'm putting out an order that no one else I know is allowed to fall. Ken fell up the stairs the other day and rug burned his face. Then, his office chair broke and he fell to the floor and cut his nose, cheek, and forehead. Not exactly the best photo-op! Enough already!

So sorry about the "mishap". I did the same thing in Solvang, California last Friday. Those are the times when I just wish I were dead rather than look up at everybody staring at you down. I felt stupid. Totally. Hope you recover quickly. Broken ribs hurt. My only got it in the knee.

I hope you get better soon hon, like I said my Dad did the same thing on the same day. He's 77 years old and said it hurt real bad compared to when he broke em when he was 27 years old. After 3 days he's doing better and my sis got him a lift chair because of his bad hips and knees. He is in love with his new chair! Take care kid!!
