so, yeah, I've been gone a while...

..but I have a good excuse..depression.

No, not me, silly!

Sushi.

Yeppers, I was dealing with a sever case of fishy-depression..

He was sad..listless..lazy..lonely in the kitchen..on the stove..quiet...

Oh wait..he's always quiet.

So, I did what any "WOW" would do..{that's Wise Older Woman..}..

I Googled...depressed beta fish.

And, yes, there is a whole world of depressed betas out there.

and I had one.

huh..soooo..

Prozac? Paxil?

nope.

good..finding teeny-weeny little pills would be time consuming..

the answer?

warmer water.

and more of it. a bigger tank ..   home..

So, all is well at the "B" household tonight. Sushi loves Mommy..Mommy loves Sushi..

hope all is well within yours..

I'm very pleased you found a solution, I didn't realise fish could suffer from the cold.

Welcome back!! I was just thinking about you the other day! Remember when your eye was swollen that time? Mine did the same thing not long ago. But I was missing you before my eye puffed up! The world of blog os not so large that we don't notice when a favorite one is 'missing!'

Glad you solved fishy's problem! I did notice you around on Pinterest though even if you weren't here. We have similiar interests it seems when it comes to Pinterest stuff!

A depressed fish. Now I've heard it all. Then again I would be depressed swimming around in my own pee. Hope he cheers up in the warmer water and a bigger tank.

I hope Sushi is a happier Beta. We had a fan tail goldfish Chloe who didn't make it through the winter depression. I'm so glad you googled the symptoms. I love that you would do that. Maybe that's what I came to AZ for--warmer home and more space(?)

What a hoot, girl I missed ya, but I just hadn't been in contact with anyone with my old computer, like Craigsmith said, it was truly coal-fired...what am I going to do once I've finished the internet...TIME....I actually can get a blog post finished in 15 minutes...my biggest setback is reaching for that damned mouse!

Scratchy says hey to the kids...I been grooming so many dogs of late, my tennis elbow is coming back...that's the reason I retired, go figger!!!

Hi! Wow. How'd you find out that he wasn't feeling so well? Was he throwing himself against the sides of his tank? Glad that all is well. (More water and warmer is what I always think about a bath.) Nice to have you back!

First I am so glad you are back. It makes this a sunny day.
Of course you would know how to take care of your depressed fish. I may send my cat Ms. Midnight to you for consultation. She has gained a lot of weight and is not a happy kitty. We have talked and it has helped a little but I fear she needs your expertise!

Wanna see what I've been up to ??
