..how cold was it??
Yeah, I grew up with Johnny Carson and his open ended questions..
Anyway, it was really cold today. And will be again tomorrow. So cold.
I read on Pinterest that if you blow bubbles when the weather is below freezing, the bubbles will freeze and shatter when they hit the ground..Cool huh? I need to go out and buy some bubbles and try this. Like soon..before it gets too warm..
That got me thinking about how cold it really has been. And as I walk the pups in the mornings..how cold it must be for them to ..uh..potty.
And that got me thinking about having to rush home so I could..uh..potty.
So I did.
Rush.
And, whew, made it..well..um..yes I did make it..but it was a struggle. You know..all those layers that have to be peeled off..
Which got me to thinking about Eskimos..and layers..and cold.
They must have tonzzz of layers..and if they don't plan... well..you know..
"Does anyone have to go before we hunt whales? This is the last time I'm asking..don't make me turn around this dog sled..you know I will.."
Cold weather living is not for wimps..or weak bladders.
Must I remind you of the time I was giggling with my daughter, slipped on the ice in the snow in the parking lot of Denny's..and um..piddled in.the.snow?? With the steam rising? And me who can't stop..laughing..and steaming??
Yeah..those are the things memories are made of..
Poor daughter..
Stay warm. Stay dry. And if you slip and fall...try not to steam up the parking lot :-)

Hope your rib is feeling better, I'm glad my rib is ok, because I'm giggling at the thought of the steam!!!
Haha! This is hilarious! I often thought about the Eskimos myself. I have a friend in Alaska...I think I'll ask her. When she stops laughing at me, maybe she'll give me a good answer!
Try to keep warm! It's 27* here in S. Arkansas tonight..with a few flurries even!
We have 28F in Austin right now. You'd think after a loooong summer with 100F, we could have a winter that was a bit warmer than this! And it isn't even really winter yet, sigh! Funny story about the steaming and the streaming! LOL!
You're so right about cold weather not being for wimps or weak bladders! Living in Michigan, it doesn't matter if you went before going outside, the minute you step into the cold something triggers your bladder! It's cold up here!!
You definitely had me laughing! I have wondered about all those layers. Other time that is difficult is trying to get a wet swimsuit off fast enough to go pee! After all, you must have your manners and not pee in the pool!

Thanks Colleen for this early morning laugh! I'm still chuckling... (so tastefully done too!)

I don't know how you guys can stand living in such cold places. I guess you get used to sliding and piddling on the ice. It sure makes for funny pictures in my head.
Too funny. I fell in Solvang, CA and it's always a time that when you are down and see people looking down at you sprawled on the sidewalk with glasses all re-arranged on your eye, you just want to be dead. And hope. Sadly, you're not. My wrist still hurts. I didn't steam up the sidewalk though...but it was warm that day so steam wouldn't rise as quickly......Hmmm. I wonder......
LOL, omg you are too funny!
i really hate cold weather because of all the layers. i start getting claustrophobic and want OUT of them. typically shortly after getting back inside and feeling like someone lit me on fire due to the temperature difference compared to being outside.
Even cold here...Don't eat steaming snow. (ugh! Sorry, it popped into my head.) You're a funny woman who I love, love, love.
You are so crazy. Your mind works in mysterious ways. Ha! I was giggling through this entire post. Ironically, I just said to a friend at school today " do you realize how hard it is to go to the bathroom in layers" -- pulling everything back up is the tricky part (the underwear, the tights, tuck in the undershirt, then pull up the pants, zip button and buckle then pull down the shirt -- it's a process. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
Hi again, just read about you falling and breaking your rib. Ouch! A friend was in a car accident over a month ago and is still nursing a broken rib. It's been 1 month since I sprained my ankle and it is still swollen and tender. :/ Hope you are feeling much better now. Get you some bubbles and test out that freezing scenario. :) Best wishes, Tammy
The funniest thing I've read lately! Oh my. Poor daughter indeed. Did she fall down laughing or run off and leave you there?
How did I miss that on Pinterest.
That is so cool! Love the dog with the pee ice cubes. Yes I do remember your story. Thanks for the laughs. Hope your having a nice week.
I love my Johnny! Dont feel bad about a piddle just thank god you did not do what "Brides Maid" in the movie did. uggg that would be bad!! Can't wait to see if the bubbles frezze. After the bubbles I hope you warm up!
Mwahaha..who else could slide and piddle at the same time:) Be careful on the ice this year. I bet we're in for a long cold one...
It is just toooo cold!
But at least we don't have to shovel cold weather..:)
XOXOXO

I am so sorry about your fall and broken rib. We just can't leave you alone for a minute. Take care.
Now my day was not so hot so I knew right where to go for some humor and by gollie you did not fail to deliver. I shall never look at steam the same way again. Hugs, Sharon
Funny post, very please we don't get any snow after reading that.
Peeing in the snow, now that would have been a sight..great memories.
Please tell me that you didn't rush home to go potty outside!
I did not know that about the bubbles. Now I'm going to have to go buy some. That's awesome.
I can see you falling on the ice because you are giggling so hard. You look like a giggling kinda gal!
We're all in for the bubble blowing. We could even take photos and share them in our respective spaces. Let's make it a date!
On friday nights the Mr. and I watch those shows on cable about the antics in Alaska. I shake my head the entire time and chant....AIN'T NO WAY!
