..the Restoration Hardware catalog?
Can't miss it.....
612 pages
Oh yes I did say 612 pages..
..it weighs about 47 pounds.
OK. that's not entirely factual. But it does. I'm certain.
And..it's ..blah...b..l..a..h.. gray. And beige. And gray. And dark.. neutral {no personality of the ..living}
Depressing. And not just the prices ($2000 for a fake airplane-winged desk -wha??)
Didja ever see one of those futuristic movies of, like the year 2015..and everything is gone..
dust..gray..dark..no color....??
Depressing? Well, that just about sums it up.
612 pages of dark, neutral, brown, beige, gray and fake airplane-winged desks.
Kinda like of our economy currently, I guess....
Dark, depressing, no color.
So, shouldn't we brighten it up a wee bit? I mean, throw some red and teal and sunny yellow pillows on that gray couch?
Add a colorful vase {vaaahaase} of flowers?
Geesh people...what next..barbed wire around your homes??
Disclaimer: The opinions here are not from a trained interior decorator. But from one who has, for the most part, decorated her home with thrift store items and silly {albeit} colorful monsters named Tank..and friends.

I have to wonder if anyone can really be happy living in blah gray rooms. I need color! Lots of color.
Some people just don't like a lot of color. I don't understand them, but as long as they don't tell me what to do they can do what they want. I like the comparison between the economy and this particular style. Blah is right.
No I haven't seen it but I love when I get to walk through one of their stores. Grey sounds pretty boring for decorating.
One time I painted a house taupe and sage green...it was so depressing!! and to a lot of people that would seem like a lot of color!...I need gold..I need red...I need yellow...I need turquoise...lol..we have so much sun and light that anything else is washed away...
Love that kitchen! I need more color in my life.
I can't imagine living in neutral.
I love the vibrant colors of the last few pictures.
Who would buy that magazine? Did you?
Love, love , love all your colour. I mean why would you want to be all beige and taupe....BORING!!
I live in a country where the environment is beige and blah so I certainly don't want to bring that into my home. :/ I got the Country Living while we were in Paris. Any magazines that we can get here are always a month late or longer. I used to get three British mags every month -- Country Homes & Interiors, 25 Beautiful Homes and Homes & Antiques -- but because of censorship and problems with getting things through customs, many of my favorites can't be found anymore, plus they are triple the normal price. I like to travel so I can visit bookstores in airports and other countries. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy
I stopped popping into their store a few years ago when they changed everything to these dull colors!!
I was a huge fan of Restoration Hardware back in the day. Before they ever came to Utah I would get their catalogs, so much fun and funky retro wonderfullness!
They stayed true to form for a few years after their arrival and I loved shopping there. Bubble lights for the tree, a yellow submarine ornament for #1, stuff you couldn't find anywhere else. It was when I walked into the store that I discovered the paint color that would rock my world and take over 2 homes :)
And then the change began, the fun began to disappear and the overl priced nosedive into bland and boring took over :(
I emailed them, told them how much I had loved the store and the treasures I had found there. Told them they were sellouts. As you can see, it worked ;)
hahaha! would you believe i looked through our restoration catalog just the other night (took me the entire evening and two glasses of red wine, but i lived to tell about it!). you've got the color palette down-pat.....the only "burst of color" is the blue sky on the front cover! personally, i'd love to see tank and his buddies all lined up on that airplane wing desk......xoxox
fall clothing is the same this season, even for the kids. I totally agree about the ba-ba-bleck!
I totally agree and had ALL of those EXACT same thoughts when I got the catalog...
Wow, this is heavy!
Oh my goodness, there is absolutely NO COLOR - what?! I seriously got so annoyed that I started writing little notes on the pages like SOME COLOR HERE PLEASE! WHERE IS THE COLOR?! Psycho I know!
