Now it's time for...."Dancing With the Little Stars"..

It was Ella's first big dance - probably NOT her last... Especially when her partner is Lord of the Pre-School Dance...

Seems this little guy has had his eye on her from the beginning...and in he swooped...ah..swept...Mmm...asked her to dance..

Look at the other little boy - can you say "jealous" in pre-school?? Watch out Daddy, you have about 13 more years of this ahead..

Is that a triumphant smile on his face?? He won! The other will just have to wait his turn...

They do make a cute couple...and he was quite the talent..

Her skirts let her sashay and fluff across the floor..

How stinkin' cute is this?? A spin!!

You go Girl!! Just look at that form...

They definitely had some moves...

Great rhythm, great footwork...remember - these are 4 & 5 year olds !

Swissssh! Sashaaaay!

How can she get her body to twist like that?

This reminds me of the be-bop I used to watch on American Bandstand...

This little guy FINALLY got up the nerve to cut in..

That smile..that look...those eyes!

And, because she's her Grammie's granddaughter, she leaves with a very dignified....

Chicken Dance!!

dadadadada-da..dadadadadada-da...huh huh huh huh..huh huh huh huh (you know that Chicken Dance song, right??) Don't tell me you don't...I hear you singing it in you head...and counting the "da da da da's"...

He is certainly looking like "That move is SO not cool.."

It was terrific fun to see these small children interact with each other, dance like no one was watching ( and not snapping photos at every turn..) and have such a fun afternoon.

I'll remember this for a long, long time. What a gift.

Am I lucky or what??
